La Serena, a two acre oceanfront property in the heart of the South Pacific, features two separate houses that have been designed to take advantage of both, mountain and ocean views.

Property was designed and executed by Pierre-Jean Picart Architects, the same team behind the Four Seasons and Pearl Beach Resort (both in Bora Bora) and the Brando (in Tetiaroa), as well as other great hotels in French Polynesia. Nature and the outdoors merge with these two open-plan homes.

The Main House - Casa Serena is a four bedroom, three and a half bathroom house designed to amaze every guest. Fresh and comfortable, it’s common spaces let you enjoy each other, while the spacious bedrooms serve as a buffer that will allow you to bask in the calmness of your own, private space.

The Guest House - Casa Paz is a two bedroom, two bathroom house, with the same level of quality and comfort as Casa Serena the main house. We kept a spacious and light-filled floor plan with elegant outdoor spaces.

Windsurfing and Kiteboarding in Raiatea are great. Several flat water spots are available and the consistent trade winds speed up even more in the channel between Raiatea and its sister island, Tahaa, where 15-plus knots are very common. If your skills are not quite there yet, local instructors are available at all levels.

With over 60 feet of visibility, the crystal clear waters of French Polynesia are fantastic for diving. Two dive operators based just 10 minutes away offer great dives inside and outside the coral barrier. Shark feeding, cliff diving, coral gardens and many more dives are found near La Serena. The operators will pick you up at our pier just in front of our homes and will take you via speedboat to incredible dive locations. Come at the right time of the year and you might have the chance to dive with whales just outside of the several reef passes of the island.

It is well known that the warm waters around French Polynesia have big game fishing. We can arrange all levels of fishing adventure. Half Day and Full Day are easily arranged. Catch Mahi-Mahi, Yellow Fin Tuna, Sword Fish, Sail Fish, Marlins and many more just a few miles outside of La Serena. We are located just in front of a pass, so within minutes you will be in blue water with the lines in the water.

Raiatea is the center of the Charter fleet in French Polynesia. Several companies rent Catamarans and Sailboats right in Town. Captain them yourself or get one with a full crew to cruise around the Leeward Islands. 5 islands are within a half-day sailing from La Serena, including the world famous Bora Bora.

Turquoise sand bottoms, colorful reefs and an amazing fish variety are just around the corner from La Serena. Feel free to use any of the many snorkeling sets we have to explore the coral reef and pass just in front of La Serena.

Incredible flat water is just in front of our property. We can arrange the rental of a fully equipped wakeboard or skiing boat. Yes, flat and warm. You got it.

Raiatea, meaning “faraway heaven” and “sky with soft light”, was first named Havai’i after the homeland of the ancient Polynesians and is the most sacred island in the South Pacific.

Only 45 minutes away by plane ride from Papeete, the capital of Tahiti, Raiatea is the second largest Island in all of French Polynesia and is just slightly smaller than Tahiti itself, but only has about 12,000 inhabitants.

Doted with 100s of waterfalls and lush vegetation, the island is as virgin today as it was a hundred years ago and offers the incredible trekking adventures beyond believe.

Come and visit La Serena in one of the most beautiful, unspoiled island on earth!!! The city of Uturoa is the main town on Raiatea, and is the 2nd largest town in French Polynesia. Located just 10 minutes by car from La Serena, the town has all you will ever need: supermarkets (3), restaurants, coffee shops, hospital and doctor practices, gas stations, rent a car (3), police office and banks (3). A big city setting in a small town area. A great place to take a walk mid-morning, pick up some fresh fruits from the local producers and check out a true Polynesian town.

French Polynesia is an overseas country of the French Republic located in the heart of the South Pacific. It is made up of several groups of tropical and sub tropical islands, the most famous being Tahiti, Moorea and Bora-Boara located in the Society Islands group. French Polynesia has the highest standard of living of all South Pacific Island Nations.

It is geographically located in a similar position as Hawaii but on the Souther Hemisphere and although its 108 islands are located over an area as big as Western Europe, it is home only to 220.000 people, making it still a very magic and pristine tropical paradise.

French Polynesia is served by several international carriers such as Air Tahiti Nui, United, Air France, Lan Chile, Air New Zealand, French Bee and Hawaiian Airlines.

You will arrive into Tahiti’s Faa’a International Airport, just 50 yards from the domestic terminal where you will catch one of the several flights a day to Raiatea. The flight is a short 45 minutes from Tahiti to Raiatea. Raiatea airport is only 10 minutes away from La Serena.

US & most international carriers for cellular service work. Visa requirements: Americans do not require a visa if staying up to 90 days. Passports need to have a 3 month validity.

Crime is extremely rare. 24/7 emergency room staffed by French doctors. No dangerous land animals such as snakes, spiders, etc.

Climate is tropical influenced by the south-east trade winds, with a hot and humid season from November to April and cooler season from May to October.

Just a little over 4 hours non-stop flying time from Honolulu, 5 hours from Auckland or Easter Island, and 8 hours from Los Angeles.
