Villa Policastro is a beautiful vacation rental in the Amalfi, situated within the Cilento National Park, 2.5 hours from Positano by car. The Villa is just a short stroll away from the beach and the village of Scario, this stunning villa with an exceptionally large pool and lush Mediterranean garden, enjoys breath taking views over the Gulf of Policastro and the surrounding hills.

The accommodation of this typical seaside villa is spread over three floors, each with private terrace and outdoor dining facilities; imagine waking each morning and stepping out to splendid views over the cobalt-blue sea. Each floor is only accessible externally which means added privacy for everybody within the same party. Inside, local hand-painted tiles are widely used to add vibrant colors and mosaic patterns so typical of this region of Southern Italy. Villa Policastro offers a poolside gym for those who like to keep fit, and a sizeable swimming pool with panoramic views over the gulf to cool down after. A tennis table provides a little light sporting diversion, and a lush garden stocked with colorful flowers, shrubs and fruit trees completes this idyllic picture.

A five-minute stroll takes you to the nearest beach and to the village of Scario - a picturesque fishing village often referred to as ‘South of Italy’s Portofino’, with shops, good restaurants and a pretty harbour. A little further afield are some of Cilento’s most acclaimed seaside resorts, such as Marina di Camerota, Palinuro, Villammare, Sapri and Maratea which are often linked by a boat service during the summer months. As well as a wide variety of landscapes, ranging from long sandy beaches to rocky coves and steep cliffs, from forested hills to barren plateau, this region also offers excellent cuisine and outdoor activities to suit all tastes. Why not try horse riding or canoeing along the nearby river Bussento or some water sports available on the beach.
