The 74 rooms pay homage to the rustic elegance and harmony of the ancient walls – the restoration project has preserved the charm of the Tuscan residences, adding elements of contemporary design, with full respect for the local culture and paying particular attention to the environment. The resort is set in green surroundings, providing spectacular views of the vineyards, the Piazza and the gardens all around from every angle. The villa, immersed in greenery in close proximity to the Spa, enjoys a spectacular view of the medieval village and, upon request, the privacy and exclusivity of the guests’ stay are assured by a private chef and butler.

In keeping with the Tuscan food and wine culture there are two restaurants: the gourmet restaurant “Contrada” where guests can have a sophisticated gastronomic experience tasting Tuscan cuisine interpreted by our Resident Chef together with world-famous Gordon Ramsay. The wine cellar, “La Cantina”, holds the best Tuscan and Chianti wines produced in the region and in the vineyards surrounding Castel Monastero and guests can sample the local specialties.

Here guests may choose from a series of treatments complemented by innovative and exclusive lines such as Natura Bissè and Dr. Murad. Guests can experience our wellness programs – detox, weight loss and energizing programs, based on specific Ayurvedic treatments and procedures performed by expert therapists and with the assistance of a pool of leadingItalian doctors and nutritionists. All the programs start in the morning with yoga sessions, followed by treatments during the day and a diet with specific menus devised by our Resident Chef with the supervision of Gordon Ramsay. Every program is based on the deep marma massage, which works on the acupuncture points and on the energetic meridians moving the metabolism, thereby helping the body to react to the diet and get the best results from the program.

The SPA experience is enhanced by the indoor water area which features a Finnish Sauna, Hammam, sensorial showers with chromo and aroma therapy, and two indoor pools, of which one with an exclusive patent designed by the medical team at Forte Village, featuring water with a high saline concentration that has draining, revitalizing and muscle relaxant properties.

The rooms at Castel Monastero have outstanding views of either the Tuscan countryside, the antique courtyard or the gardens. Rooms vary in size and all offer the finest details of Tuscan tradition with a contemporary style and comfort. In all the rooms guests will find beautiful details of the best of Made in Italy, from fabrics to sofas. Many rooms have Terracotta floors and wood beams on the ceilings. All the rooms have king size beds or two twins beds, desks, and many have a spacious sitting area (Prestige and Junior Suite). The large bathrooms are all in Volcanic stone and many have separate bath and shower. Many rooms connect and a few have sofa beds.
