Telluride is the Most fascinating location in Colorado. On any given day you can find a 20 million dollar residence just sitting in the distance, alongside another 20 million dollar residence. It truly is the most luxurious and upscale areas to vacation in Colorado. From the streets designed to inspire, lit up during the holidays from end to end, to the mountains which are perfect for even the most advanced skier. There is nothing about Telluride that is simple, because nothing worth having is ever that easy and that’s what makes Telluride a Gem.
There is only one Regional Airport in Telluride, which means you cannot fly a large commercial plane into the area. Instead you will have to count on the smaller and more compact planes to take you into the Airport. Once there you are just 15-20 minutes from everything, but it’s the getting there that may be harder. If you cannot get a flight from your hometown into the regional airport, even with a connection, you may want to try flying into Montrose Airport. Only 75 minutes away from Telluride, it’s really not that bad of a drive and quite scenic. However you should be able to get a connecting flight to Telluride, as long as you book early enough and don’t mind a change of planes. For those with a private plane, that’s easy enough, you can fly into the airport any time as long as you make a plan of it.
