The 1920 ’Grande Dame’, being one of the last remaining very elegant, original residences, was built in 1920 and nestles in a prime position just above the sea and very close to famous Camps Bay and Clifton beaches. This icon will lift your spirits and refresh your soul with its amazing surrounding scenery. The expanse of the Atlantic Ocean is breath taking, and the sound of the crashing waves on the rocks exhilarating.
Externally, the Villa has been restored to her former glory and internally, she has had a total make-over with travertine floors, modern bathrooms en suite, modern kitchens but keeping the old elegance of original sash windows, architraves around doors etc. Every room, including the kitchens, have uninterrupted views that are like unframed paintings of the sea and majestic mountains – quite breath-taking.
Luxury Bingley Place is a two storied Villa that can be rented out as a 5 bedroom en suite house with pool, or two separate, individual self-contained units, each on ’ground floor’ due to the steep gradient of the land. There is no internal access between the two floors of the house and therefore these 3 and 2 bedroom units have their own private entrances.
The upstairs unit has 3 bedrooms all en-suite with 2 king-sized beds, the finest percale linen and ocean views. The 3rd bedroom (2 singles that, on request, can be made up into a king-sized bed) has its own private patio with views of the sea and mountain plus a secluded outdoor Victorian bath in the garden! The modern open plan, well-equipped kitchen has a magnificent view out over the sea, looking through the sitting room with fireplace, to the glassed balcony which can be opened up completely to bring the sea and mountains right into the house! The kitchen also leads onto an elegant dining room with beautiful eight-seater Victorian table plus piano and guitar. The dining room in turn opens up onto the pool and pool deck, perfect for entertaining, with the sea, as the crow flies, not 30 meters away!
The downstairs unit features two bedrooms with bathrooms en-suite, a fully equipped kitchen and a combined sitting and dining room that spills out onto a private patio. There is also an outdoor private bath area. Antiques, original artworks, and beautiful vintage furniture from the 1920’s are creatively coupled with modern conveniences to make this unit very unique.
Both units have fans and heater panels in all the rooms, 5-days a week maid service, wireless internet connection, TV’s with full satellite programs. The villa has an alarm security system linked to an armed response company in both units. A garage and 2 off-street parking areas are available.
