Welcome to Costa Rica Oceanfront Villa, a fully-staffed, 5-bedroom, 5-bath luxury Villa and Guest House in an unusually private and beautiful setting bordering the 50-meter Maritime Protection Zone.
The Villa and Guest House are perched high above the Pacific, with ever present sea breezes and sounds of surf crashing below. Our beach (Playa la Macha), which is usually deserted, is just a 10-minute walk from the Villa. Ours is the only residence in Manuel Antonio with a cove all to itself and one of the few close enough to the water to hear the surf crashing against the rocks.
The views of the ocean and sunset from the Villa are breathtaking. Wildlife and tropical flowers abound on our property and in the surrounding rainforest. Monkeys, countless birds, and an occasional sloth are regular visitors to nearby trees and are easily spotted from the Villa or our terraces and swimming pool.
The Villa is located in one of Costa Rica’s most beautiful coastal areas, Quepos and Manuel Antonio. An almost endless string of secluded coves and tropical beaches and the charming, well-supplied town of Quepos are minutes away. Five miles down the road is a jewel of this ecologically sensitive country, Manuel Antonio National Park. The waters offshore offer some of the best marlin and sailfish sport fishing in the world.
The Villa is handsomely furnished in teak and natural woods and provides a beautiful home for families, small wedding parties, and groups of friends to share. The owners live in the house six weeks per year and have continuously maintained it to very high standards. They have added all the amenities you would want for a perfect vacation, including a library of 150 their favorite books.
The Villa is a luxurious and tranquil base for a wide range of activities available nearby, including swimming and sunning, world-class deep sea fishing, rainforest exploration, river rafting, golf, hiking, horseback riding, or just plain relaxing and unwinding( enjoying what Costa Ricans call Pura Vida, the pure life. Rates and availability vary with the season, which is determined by the weather, although the area is beautiful year round.
The friendly staff provides full housekeeping and laundry services daily and will cook authentic Costa Rican dishes for you, or whatever you most enjoy. Fresh fish caught daily, quality meats and delicious tropical fruits are plentiful in the local markets.
The Main House contains the living room, which offers extraordinary views of the ocean and surrounding rainforest, a dining room with a small balcony, a fully equipped kitchen, and two bedrooms and baths on the first level. The master bedroom, which contains a covered veranda, offers stunning views of the ocean and sunset and includes an indoor/outdoor bath and Jacuzzi. The master bedroom takes up the entire second level of the Villa. The swimming pool and terrace and landscaped lawns and gardens are accessed from the first level.
The Guest House is built on two levels below the Main House. It contains a bedroom, baths, living room, and kitchen on the upper level. A second bedroom, laundry room, and garage are located on the lower level. The Guest House offers spectacular views of the ocean, rainforest, and sunsets. Like the Main House, the Guest House is light and airy and filled with ocean breezes and the sound of the surf.
