One of the best beaches in St. Martin, Baie Rouge, is only steps away from the house and features excellent snorkeling. The expansive pool deck, exquisite pool and waterfall with night time fiber optic lighting provides a relaxing visual experience under the stars. The pool area features large stainless steel BBQ, bar area and another separate dining area. Relax under the poolside gazebo or on the rooftop sundeck for even more fantastic panoramic ocean and bay views. The beautiful newly landscaped grounds and Caribbean natural vegetation provide both privacy and a relaxing visual experience.
 
All bedrooms feature en-suite marble bedrooms, large showers, king-sized beds with plush pillow-top mattresses, iPod docks, and beautiful views. The design and placement of each bedroom assures total privacy. The master bedroom opens into the main living area, the second bedroom opens to the outdoor great room, two bedrooms are located in their own cottages and there is a two bedroom suite with its own living room & plasma TV.
 
Maison de Rêve is located 5 minutes from Marigot, 3 minutes to the nearest grocery store, and a 10 minute walk to the beach.
 
ABOUT ST. MARTIN/ST. MAARTEN:
St. Martin (the French side) is known for its beautiful beaches, clothing stores, shopping, and rich French and Caribbean cuisine.  The official language is French, but English is commonly spoken.  The Dutch side (St. Maarten) is known for its festive nightlife, casinos, and jewelry stores.  The official language is Dutch and English.  This all adds up to a tale of two nations that offer the best of both worlds ... activity and leisure.
 
Terres Basses (French for Lowlands) is located at the westernmost end of the island beyond the Simpson Bay Lagoon. It is home to some of the most exclusive villas on the island and features two of St. Martin's prettiest beaches at Plum Bay, Baie Rouge, and Long Bay.
 
The capital city of Marigot is perhaps the most French in spirit of all the cities in the Caribbean. Colonial houses stand beside smart cafes and bistros, pastry shops and luxury boutiques, and in many ways it looks just like any of the French market towns you might expect to find on the Continent. Visitors can enjoy a newly built shopping center at the foot of Fort St. Louis, with luxurious boutiques. At the southern end of town down by the harbor is the Marina Port la Royale, elegant stores with the latest in European designer fashions and fine jewelry, all free of tax. The official currency on the French side is the euro.  However, every store on the island also accepts the United States dollar. The entire city is only four streets wide, so it is very easy to get around.
 
St. Maarten’s (the Dutch side) Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM) is served by Air Caraibes, Air France, American Airlines, Air Transat, BWIA, Continental, Corsair, Delta, Dutch Caribbean, Jet Blue, KLM, Liat, United Airline, and US Airway.  There is also a small airport on the French side (St. Martin) of the island at Grand Case, Lâ Esperance Airport, for small jet and propeller planes serving neighboring Caribbean islands.
