Walk into Casa del Sol Naciente and you'll find yourself in a brick-domed, soaring entrance foyer with a Mayan limestone wall. On the first floor is an expansive kitchen, living room, dining room and master bedroom; the second floor is home to four additional bedroom suites. Each air-conditioned bedroom has a balcony with a direct view of the Caribbean Sea. With 6 bedrooms and 5.5 baths, this spacious ocean-front vacation villa accommodates up to 15.

Enjoy a stunning 55-foot lap pool, outdoor driftwood shower, waterfall, and grand stone patio. Feel the sea breeze pass through the cocopalm-shaded lily garden and courtyard. Savor a tropical fruit breakfast at the shaded outdoor dining table with an ocean view. Make time for a nap on the beachfront palapa's swinging double bed, and get lost in a good book as you relax in the seaside lounge chairs. Gaze at the stars or get a massage in the rooftop palapa.

The bedrooms are appointed with king-size four-poster Mayan hardwood beds and Ticul marble baths. Two of the bedrooms open onto private balconies facing the sea, while another opens right onto the pool.

Walk 10 minutes into town along the sandy beach to try one of the many restaurants, or make your own Mexican fiesta in the professional kitchen, stocked with restaurant quality dinnerware and cooking staples. Grill meat or fresh fish on the outdoor charcoal barbecue. Prefer to have someone else do the cooking? Chef service is available as well.

Explore the coral reef in the two 2-person ocean kayaks provided, or take your snorkeling gear and get up close with the marine life. On calm days the water is so transparent you can see the fish right from the surface.
