A Summer Place on the Beach is a lovely vacation rental on the calm waters of Discovery Bay in Jamaica's Northern Coast. We take every element of the homes we curate seriously, deciding on location, amenities and also the staffing. Nestled on its own sandy beach by the blue waters of Discovery Bay, A Summer Place is a spacious and playful family home. The design is of typical Caribbean gingerbread style with hand-carved fretwork trimming the length of the house. our place in the sun, a truly beautiful vacation home consisting of seven (7) bedrooms, nine (9) bathrooms, 90 ft open veranda both upstairs and downstairs, set in two acres of well fruited land. The Villa also boasts 120 ft private white sand beach, swimming pool and newly constructed tennis court and 800 square foot exercise room. There are four (4) Kayaks available for the guests to use while experiencing the beautiful bay and coral reefs of the Caribbean Sea.

Stroll from the villa to the tennis court and exercise room and you pass through gardens planted with mangoes, coconut, ackee, bananas, June plums, star apples, and many more fruit trees that bear fruit all year round. The temperature ranges from 70˚ in the winter to 90˚ in the summer with cooling tropical breezes blowing all day long. From the pool terrace, it's only a few steps onto the 100' white sand beach. Guests are invited to use the snorkeling equipment, sea kayaks and paddleboards for great fun on the beautiful water here.

The Villa comes with a full staff of six people – 2 butlers, a chef, gardener and 2 housekeepers, all but 2 of which live on the premises. Meals are planned by our competent staff according to your likes and dislikes. The Villa can be pre-stocked as requested by you and the staff will purchase any additional items you may need. At the end of your stay, you will then settle the bill at the local supermarket. We offer our guests a roast suckling pig with our compliments on the day of your choice. For the children, the staff organize a bonfire on the beach, and the children can enjoy roasting marshmallows, usually on the last night of your stay.
