Caribali Villa , Grenada Vacation Rental
Along the stretch of white sandy beach fringing the coast of the Caribbean island of Grenada, Calabash stands as one of the most exclusive hotels in the region. With an emphasis on both elegance and Caribbean informality in a destination known worldwide for its natural beauty, Calabash is the kind of resort dreams are made of. However, hidden away on the secluded peninsula of Amber Belair just west of this hotel resort, Calabash presents five exclusive villas on the unspoiled nineteen acre site that exceeds even Calabash’s expectations of tranquillity and luxury.
Within this enviable selection of private villas is Caribali, a five bedroom accommodation ideal for large groups or families looking to enjoy Grenada, one of the prettiest Caribbean islands with pristine beaches and lush gardens, with the independence offered by a self-catering villa. Caribali is exquisitely decorated with solid wood floors and grand Balinese style cathedral ceilings, and comes with a private infinity-edge pool and terrace, allowing you to enjoy the sunshine whilst overlooking the bay below.
With a fully equipped kitchen and fine dining room inside the villa, it may not sound necessary to ever leave. But with a Gary Rhodes restaurant in the hotel resort and a range of shops and water sports easily accessible from the villa grounds, there are more than enough reasons to be tempted out. With access to all of the facilities and services of the hotel resort, guests staying at the Caribali Villa will be drawn in by the warm, friendly atmosphere of the Calabash and the number of activities available on the surrounding island.
About The Area
Grenada is affectionately known as the spice island due to its wealth of natural spices such as cinnamon, saffron and most popularly nutmeg, available to purchase at numerous markets and stores on the island. The island is 133 square miles with the majority of villas, resorts and restaurants located on the beaches of the south west, whilst the northern side is covered with mountainous beautiful rain forest.
Grenada is truly an idyllic place to simply unwind and the warmth and sincerity of the Grenadian people will make you feel at home very quickly. The beaches are quieter than elsewhere in the Caribbean, with no noisy motorized water sports to be found. Simply relax and enjoy the beautiful Caribbean sea. For the more adventurous there is hiking and sailing. Grenada is also known as the best island in the Eastern Caribbean for Diving, with a plethora of wrecks, reefs, marine life and even an underwater sculpture park. There are a wide range of dive centres but amongst our favourite is Dive Grenada, located on Grande Anse Beach.
The nightlife scene in Grenada is much quieter than other islands but there a few bars to enjoy some cocktails and live entertainment including the Dodgy Dock and Owl Bar. The local cuisine has Creole influences and is delicious, a must try is Crab and Calloo and most restaurants will serve a mix of local and international cuisines. Olivers and La Sagrese are recommended and Gary Rhodes also has a restaurant the Calabash hotel.
