Location advantages position Olympus supremely within Rum Point's coveted oceanfront neighborhood. The oceanfront homes in Rum Point offer exceptional reef-protected snorkeling. The beaches usually have plenty of white sand, but also can have spots of rocky "ironshore" with natural rock formations. The closer you get to Rum Point, usually the sandier the beach as well as the swimming. Either way, with the abundant marine life we have in the water, you will want to wear pool shoes or fins for foot protection. The prevailing trade winds from the east also make flying insects less of a pest—many of the homes in Rum Point don't even need a screened porch. Olympus has a very sandy water entrance for swimming; however, there are critters so please wear foot protection. We do get tidal seagrasses on the beach. The owners hire a service that will rake the beach weekly to make a clear path to the water for snorkeling, kayaking, and swimming.

The big draw to this area is the proximity to the Rum Point Club, a public beach club that offers a fantastic barefoot beach, many watersports, a fine-dining restaurant, a beach bar and grill, a gift shop, and pick-up beach volleyball games. Also nearby is the Kaibo Yacht Club restaurant, bar and marina.
