Welcome to Babylon Reef, a crisp oceanfront villa complete with a large sundeck and private pool, situated directly on one of the best shallow snorkeling sites on the entire island. Protected by a coral reef, there are rarely any currents or waves to contend with, so guests can swim, kayak, and snorkel in the shallows all day. The ocean views are stunning the moment you walk through the front door where natural light and scenic ocean views flood the entire living area through the sunroom's retractable glass doors which can be opened to allow a breeze to flow through on days when air conditioning is unnecessary. Cute Caribbean architecture and a modern open-concept design lend to a great island feel throughout with sleeping arrangements accommodating 6 guests total.

The Primary Suite on lower-level features king bed, ocean views, walk-out access to the sunroom, and ensuite with shower. Bedroom 1 on upper-level offers king bed, ocean views, and shares hall bathroom equipped with a shower bath. Bedroom 2 on upper-level provides two twin beds convertible to king upon request, ocean views, and shares hall bathroom equipped with a shower bath. A full kitchen complete with modern appliances overlooks the dining area with seating for 6 while an outdoor dining table off the pool deck and under tall palm trees is also available. All cookware, glassware, cutlery, and flatware are provided for preparing island feasts. Babylon Reef's private well-landscaped lot includes a white picket fence, soft zoysia grass lawn, and a large sandy backyard around the pool.

The owner provides a cornhole set on the beach complete with boards and bean bags, plus 2 tandem kayaks and 1 child-size kayak for exploring, beach hammocks for relaxing, and an outdoor shower with hot and cold running water. With an empty lot on each side, Babylon Reef is a private and secluded retreat perfect for families seeking tranquility. The beach is a mix of sand, pebbles, corals, and shells depending on the time of year where we advise guests to wear pool shoes at all times on the beach and certainly in the water. Two large resorts with water sports, manicured sandy beaches, and oceanfront bars and restaurants are under a 10-minute drive east while Rum Point barefoot beach and restaurants are a 15-minute drive west.

Just east of the famous Connally's Cove, Babylon Reef has shallow snorkeling where no fins are really needed, but you should still wear pool shoes for protection. The owner maintains a sandy beach inside the white picket fence above the shoreline for sunbathing, beach games, and lounging in the hammock under the palm trees creating an ideal family beach environment. The property's excellent snorkeling right off the beach showcases colorful coral formations and abundant marine life in calm protected waters making it perfect for both experienced snorkelers and beginners. The villa positions 3.2 miles from Grand Cayman Villas and Condos Welcome Center and 20.5 miles with 40-minute drive from Owen Roberts Airport providing convenient access while maintaining a peaceful North Side location.

All beaches in Grand Cayman are technically public since the Crown owns up to the high water mark. The shoreline quality behind your property may vary slightly from the images on our website due to shifting tides and weather patterns. The next-door beach is also always available for your use. Beaches in Grand Cayman may experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally where sargassum is a generally harmless floating seaweed that has increased in frequency over the years during the summer. Owners do make efforts to remove heavy sargassum and will have the beach raked prior to your arrival. Should sargassum weed be extremely heavy behind your property, we will reach out to the owner for alternative solutions which may include a partial refund or relocation.
