The north side of Island is home to a uniquely elegant and historic private island retreat, thoughtfully reappointed in 2023 for the modern guest. Set apart by its scale and setting, this portion of the island offers a rare sense of privacy and calm just minutes from the waterfront. Across this side of the island, relaxed New England style meets understated coastal luxury. Three thoughtfully restored residences sit within 12 acres of lawns, shoreline, and quiet gathering spaces, designed for days that unfold at an unhurried pace. Interiors feel timeless and welcoming, with airy light, layered textures, and comfortable spaces to gather, retreat, and reset. The 5 bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms villa sleeps 14 and features two king suites, two queen suites, and a bunk room with six twin beds (two with trundles). The 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms sleeps 9 with a king suite, two queen suites, and a bunk room with three twin beds.

In addition to our two beautiful villas, we also have a lovely 3rd cottage, a 2 bedroom with wonderful traditional feeling, beautiful place for a young couple with a child or small family sharing. This wonderful cottage makes up the 10th and 11th bedroom with it's 1 bathroom. The villa features a full-size bedroom plus a bunk room with two queen-over-twin bunks and one additional twin, sleeping 8 guests.

Summer vacation rentals book at a one week minimum from June to October. Property buy-outs are taken on a limited basis and must be referred through a trusted source. A calendar of availability can be furnished upon request with a custom proposal based on your unique needs. House Island is a private island accessible only by private boat or water taxi. For the most convenient arrival, we recommend booking a ride with Fogg Water Taxi in advance, as rides tend to fill quickly.
