From large families with children, to those in search of a romantic getaway, to others looking for excitement and adventure, this unique XIII century villa is ideally located in the heart of L'Empordanet, in the skirts of the national park of the Gavarres, in Girona, Spain. The house has a large garden, which opens up to the surrounding private fields and forests.

The building was personally restored by the family almost 30 years ago to provide comfortable living quarters, combining simplicity and beauty, whilst at the same time highlighting the nature surrounding it. Near the beautiful Costa Brava beaches, the house is removed from the hustle and bustle of the beach party life, providing a peaceful, re-energizing oasis, optimal for de-stressing and nature oriented fun times, such as picnics, hunting for wild mushrooms and walking along the riverbank. At the same time it is still near enough for those who enjoy going out for dinner to the many excellent restaurants around the area, and later in the evening, joining the diverse nightlife events the area offers.

The innumerable beautiful beaches of the COSTA BRAVA, only 25 minutes away by car, are a must; the Gothic city of Girona, only 30 minutes away, with its flower festival in May, its interesting architectonic features and beautiful cathedral, as well as its wide variety of shops; the medieval towns of Peratallada, Monells, Madremanya, and many, many, others; the summer festivals, with their Gegants and the popular dances; the Museum of Dali, in Pubol, 9 kilometers away; the Correfocs firework annual festival of the town of La bisbal, on the 15th of August is and unforgettable experience; the Musical festivals of Perellada and Cap Roig, to mention two of the many; the botanical gardens os Cap Roig and Santa Clotilde, amongst others; for the children the Aqua Park at Playa de Aro, as well as the mini golf and paint ball ranges nearby; the Ceramic Museum in La Bisbal, where they organise summer workshops as well.
