Villa Giulietta is a luxury vacation rental in Scopello is set in a quiet rural area of north-western Sicily with a mountain backdrop and a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean Sea. The newly built property is unique to the area and features mostly all-white furnishings and a modern Italian SMEG kitchen with splashes of local pastel colors, artisan tiling and vases. There is a yoga deck with pergola for relaxing or working out at the end of the garden which stretches some 100 yards beyond the pool in front of the villa toward the ocean. Two expansive terraces to the right and left of the villa mean that each of the three bedrooms with en-suite bathroom is separately accessible from above. The large floor-to-ceiling sliding windows in the spacious, airy living room open onto the ground floor terrace, pool and permanent barbecue area.

The villa is situated 5 minutes from the tiny picturesque hamlet of Scopello, famous for its turquoise waters and seafood dining. Only 20 minutes away is the beautiful town of Castellammare del Golfo, which features a magnificent marina promenade set against antique Sicilian architecture, offering all manner of marine activity from boat trips and deep-sea fishing to jetski and boat hire, also without a boat licence. In Sicily’s capital Palermo, just under an hour’s drive away, you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the old Arab quarter, stroll along the elegant shopping boulevard Via della Libertà and round out the day in one of the city’s many fine restaurants or spend the evening at the theater or opera. Places to definitely visit include Ragusa, Syracusa and Noto.

There are a handful of restaurants and bistros close by in Scopello and a marina promenade with bars, restaurants, eateries, bistros and cafés/ice cream parlors in Castellammare del Golfo (5 miles, 20 mins. by car). Sicily’s capital Palermo is approx. 1 hour’s drive away, with all that a big city has to offer in the way of wining & dining, clubs & discos, and other entertainment. There are great fish & seafood restaurants all over Sicily with excellent local wines (especially Vini Tonnino is to be highly recommended!). The restaurants La Tonnara, Booga Wooga and Luxor in Castellammare del Golfo are a must!
