The two floors farmhouse offers accommodations full of charm with rustic yet elegant details, such as the original terracotta floors and wooden beamed ceilings.

Ground floor: a huge living room with Satellite TV and DVD player and a nice leisure room with sofas and board games. The beautiful living room has access to the outside dining area and to the park. The kitchen is fully equipped with a center island perfect for cooking lessons. On this floor there is queen bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. Additionally, there is a nice laundry room with washing machine and dryer.

First floor: 6 marvelous bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. Every bedroom has a queen size bed except one where it is possible to have twin beds (can be converted into Queen). Two rooms can accommodate an extra bed for an additional charge. Thanks to the extra beds, Casa Matteucci can accommodate up to 14 people. Baby cot is available at an extra fee. Every bedroom has air conditioning, heating system and a safe. Some bedrooms overlook the pond, others the garden, swimming pool and olive groves. Every bathroom has a shower and some a bath tub.

At the foot of Monte Pisano, in the Vorno valley, (6 km from Lucca) is this beautiful luxury Tuscan farmhouse, nestled among olive groves. In front of the house, a wooden bridge over a small pond leads to a charming private island shaded by trees. The property was the home of the famous architect Felice Matteucci who invented the first striking engine (prototype for the modern car) in his on-site laboratory. He lived in this home from 1808 to 1887 where he conducted his most important scientific research. Matteucci was the son of the famous Minister of Justice of the Republic of Lucca and noblewoman Angiola Tomei Albiani. Over the centuries the house has hosted many fancy events and noble ceremonies. Today it is a charming villa for rent with 6 beautiful bedrooms with private bathrooms. Moreover, its beautiful and magnificent park is perfect for wedding parties and social events.

Casa Matteucci is located in the famous area of Vorno: a gracious small village at the foot of the Mount Pisano, which separates Lucca from Pisa. A place rich in history and beautiful nature: small streams, breath-taking landscapes and amazing panoramas. This particular area of Lucca countryside offers many kind of outdoor activities: hiking (Pizzorne and Mount Pisano), tours of the historical Villas (Villa Bernardini, Villa Buonvisi etc.), fitness trails (Marlia), nature reserves (Gherardesca lake, WWF Bottaccio oasis), thermal baths (San Giuliano Terme). Horseback riding lovers will be delighted to enjoy a ride in the wild, just a 10 minute drive away, in a beautiful horse farm. For tennis and golf players, an exclusive Tennis & Golf Club is just a 5 minute drive away. A relaxing but also entertaining vacation in a landscape full of history.

The historic center of Lucca is just 8 km away, a town famous for its medieval walls, also known as the town of the 100 Churches. A hidden gem where time seems to stand still: small typical shops with local products and groceries. At the same time the town hosts annual events famous all over Europe: the Music Summer Festival (July), Lucca Comics & Games annual comic book and gaming convention (the 3rd biggest in the world). Pisa airport and its historic center are only 22 km away, Florence and Siena only 1 hour drive away. The vast, sandy and world-famous Versilia coastline is just a 20 minute drive away, the area is famous for the top quality restaurants, amusing nightlife and various designer boutiques.
