Castello Sant Mori is a stunning Renaissance Castle sitting in the middle of a quaint and beautiful city, offering the vacation rental of lifetime. This beautiful Castle was built in the XVth century upon the ruins of a former structure. It´s first and most important refurbishing was accomplished in the XVIth century, giving to this beautiful building the Gothic- Renaissance character that we can admire today. The castle has been witness of several historical events. The most important one being the stay of Queen Juana Enriquez, mother of Fernando el Catolico, who along with his wife Isabel la Catolica were the promoters of the discovery of America (1492), carried by Cristobal Colon.

The Queen Juana Enriquez travelled to Sant Mori from Castille in 1466. She was hosted by her follower Pere de Rocaberti, first baron of Sant Mori. The purspose of the Queen´s trip was to pacify the politically turmoiled Ampurdan. The most important event of this period was the Parliament session of October 15th 1466. It took place in the battlefields between St. Pere Pescador and Sant Jordi Desvalls, where the Queen Juana Enriquez had her headquarters.

The castle is distributed over 3 floors, has an interior courtyard and a splendid garden terrace with pool and barbecue, has 13 rooms, 13 bathrooms and different rooms, with a capacity of accommodation for 28 people. The castle is complemented by two adjoining houses that allow to increase the number of guests while giving them greater independence reaching a total capacity of up to 44 people. The adjoining houses are old dependencies of the castle that have been carefully rehabilitated and adapted to their new function, can be rented independently or integrated into the whole castle. Its location, physically linked to the castle but with independent entrances, makes them ideal for both purposes.

It is located in a dream location in the middle of L’ Emporda between Figueras and Girona, in the same area where the Dali Museum House is . It is also very close to the beaches of the Costa Brava. All this makes it a perfect location to visit this region of Catalonia, which is full of charming villages, routes of cultural interest and great restaurants .
