This property is ideally located minutes to Port Carling on a very accessible road in all seasons. Shopping, dining, golf and all amenities just a stone's throw away and guests can access the Big 3 Muskoka Lakes (Joe, Rosseau and Muskoka) from this fabulous south Lake Joseph location.

From the moment you arrive, you’re welcomed by a generous parking area, a two-car garage with living accommodations above, and an inviting woodland backdrop. Stone walkways wind through landscaped grounds, leading you to the lakefront where you’ll find a long dock equipped with multiple seating and lounging areas. The shallow, hard-packed sand entry makes lake access perfect for children, while adults can enjoy paddleboarding, boating, or simply sunbathing by the water. End your days gathered around the lakeside firepit or dining alfresco at the waterfront’s 8-seater dining table next to the lake.

Inside, the heart of the cottage is the grand great room, with soaring ceilings, exposed timber beams, and a striking floor-to-ceiling river stone fireplace. The spacious dining room invites long, festive meals, while the fully equipped kitchen features high-end appliances, a sprawling center island with ample seating, and a separate butler’s pantry. Just off the kitchen, the Muskoka room offers a cozy haven for morning coffee or quiet evenings, complete with a wood-burning fireplace and heated floors.

Sleeping arrangements are thoughtfully spread throughout the cottage, ensuring privacy and comfort for all guests. The primary bedroom is located on the main level and features a king-size bed, an ensuite bathroom, in-room TV, and large windows overlooking the lake. Additional bedrooms are positioned throughout the home, including the upper-level west loft where kids can enjoy their own dedicated space.

Guests of Hart’s Content will also enjoy the option of enhancing their stay with additional services. A private chef can be arranged to prepare custom meals, whether you’re planning a special celebration or simply want to relax without the hassle of cooking. For added convenience and peace of mind, our in-house concierge is available throughout your stay to assist with restaurant reservations, activity planning, or any special requests. Extra staffing or assistance can also be coordinated upon request, ensuring a seamless and stress-free vacation experience.
