Suriyawatta is ideal for families or groups of up to 10 guests (or 8 adults and 4 children), offering the perfect base for a tropical escape. The villa is designed around a central courtyard that provides a cool, safe haven for families, especially those with younger children. Within the main house are four beautifully appointed bedrooms including the master suite with a stunning king size bed and three further guest bedroom suites (one double, one twin and one bunk room). The fifth bedroom is located in a separate garden suite, just a few steps from the main house. This versatile space can be configured as a double or twin, ensuring flexibility for mixed groups. Each bedroom features air conditioning, overhead fans, fitted mosquito nets, and ensuite bathrooms with modern, minimalist styling.

Suriyawatta’s living areas are open, breezy, and inviting. The vaulted ceiling in the living room enhances the sense of space, while a curated mix of elegant grey sofas and Sri Lankan artwork creates a calm, tasteful setting. Large windows and open-plan architecture allow uninterrupted views of the ocean and garden.

The lush, cascading lawns lead down to a picturesque reef-protected beach, perfect for paddling or snorkeling during calmer seas. The stunning saltwater infinity pool stretches between the villa and the Indian Ocean, inviting long swims or lazy lounging under the palm trees. An outdoor shower is discreetly tucked into the garden, perfect after a beach dip. There are several alfresco dining spots, including a breakfast terrace with uninterrupted sea views and a formal dining pavilion perfect for candlelit dinners under the stars.

Suriyawatta is located just outside Weligama, along Sri Lanka’s southern coast, and a short drive from surfing hotspots like Ahangama, Midigama, and Mirissa. It’s an ideal base to explore the region’s palm-fringed beaches, tea plantations, historic Galle Fort, and nearby nature reserves.
