The main house at Meda Gedara features six beautifully appointed, air-conditioned bedrooms—all with ensuite bathrooms. The seventh bedroom is located in a charming garden villa, perfect for those seeking added privacy. In total, the villa comfortably accommodates up to 16 guests. Each bedroom is unique and filled with 4 poster or bunk beds, fitted mosquito nets, air con, comfortable seating, interesting curios and artwork; all bathrooms are delightful. A children’s bunk room cleverly has a larger bottom bed for a nanny. The master suite has an adjoining room with twin beds for smaller children and the final suite is charmingly housed in the garden and enjoys views of the landscaped garden.

The interiors are a stylish blend of colonial elegance and tropical charm. Multiple balconies and outdoor lounging areas offer idyllic views across the garden, pool, and ocean. Meda Gedara’s outdoor space is a private playground. The large curved swimming pool is flanked by sun loungers and shaded umbrellas and children and adults would also enjoy the 20-meter waterslide, tucked discreetly to one side. Direct access to a quiet, palm-fringed beach allows for sunrise walks, ocean swims, and magical sunset dinners by the shore. Hidden further down the garden, surrounded by greenery and ocean views, the yoga shala is a serene sanctuary for sunrise meditations or group yoga sessions. Guests can enjoy wellness activities surrounded by tropical birdsong and the sound of the waves.

Meda Gedara offers a truly elevated culinary experience with a private in-house chef who specializes in both Sri Lankan and international cuisine.
