Surrounded by open fields, with impressive views over the gentle wooded hills typical of this part of Umbria, Villa Beata offers rural tranquillity in a timeless location. Much care has been taken to retain the character of the villa’s ancient beamed ceilings and terracotta floors, the sunny double loggia and a small chapel, ensuring that this historic building provides a very comfortable holiday home for discerning clients, with varied prices for small and large parties up to a maximum of 30 people.
The delightful walled village of Montone – considered to be one of Italy’s most beautiful villages (Borghi piu belli d’Italia) - is just a ten minute drive from the villa. There are numerous other fabulous places to visit nearby, such as Citta di Castello and Cortona, as well as Perugia and Assisi slightly further afield. And during your stay don’t forget to sample some regional specialities such as porchetta and prosciutto, ricotta and caciotta cheeses, berry preserves, torta bianca flatbread and the excellent truffles and mushrooms from the woods.
