Located near the charming town of Todi, the estate comes with its own olive groves and it’s one of only few homes in Italy with an almost zero-impact on the environment. Set on the most panoramic point of the property, the three-level house affords views of the scenic landscape from almost every angle. The interiors include a spacious living room, a dining area with garden vistas, a eat-in well-equipped kitchen and a master suite with a glass window overlooking the landscape. The estate includes 1,5 hectares of surrounding wood area and private grounds.

The home design, approached with research in the estate technical and historical contexts, results in a contemporary result with stone, floors, quality wooden boards, and glass. The Swiss owners wanted to project the 100-years old cottage in the 21st century through a restructuring and expansion: no fossil energy is used for photovoltaic panels produce the energy that the house needs; the sanitary water is heated by the sun through thermal panels and rainwater should be collected in a large cistern to irrigate the lawn. A well ensures water supply during the rainless summer weeks. The property comes with a woodshed freely usable for the fireplaces.

The style encompasses traditional elements brought into the now with updated add-on’s for today’s lifestyles: there is a heated pool equipped with umbrellas and deck loungers, offering a breathtaking view of the valley. Hidden away, yet very close to Todi, this estate offers four bedrooms decorated in contemporary style with color-washed walls in pale shades, contemporary materials, and strategic sights over the surrounding valley Crossing a walkway you arrive in the master bedroom which will undoubtedly leave you breathless as you enter, of an area of 50 m2, the night area with a bed, bathroom with tub, shower and its travertine wall, the separate WC and its small balcony. An independent studio under a terrace, consisting of a sleeping area with a double bed, a living area with two sofas that can be transformed into beds and a bathroom with shower, offers maximum comfort and privacy to two or more people. This room is ideal for those who travel with their staff or for teenage children. This room is not available in the winter due to inability to heat properly.

A 100-meter white road crosses a small forest and leads to the casale: past the automatic gate, a gravel path leads past the farmhouse. The property offers two different bodies that make up a unique environment of relaxation and comfort. The old farmhouse, with its small windows, the walls with exposed stone, its old oak staircase offers the atmosphere of the past with the maximum comfort of today.
