The Tavern, Telluride, Colorado Vacation Rental

 

The Tavern is a beautiful private home occupying an iconic Victorian structure on the west end of Telluride town. The Tavern is part of the exclusive West End Campus, a small development of seven newly constructed and remodeled residences. This home has four bedrooms (plus a flex room) and three-and-a-half bathrooms, sleeping ten guests in total. If you are looking for a quaint yet luxurious vacation rental, just steps from all the action of Telluride town, the Tavern is the perfect choice. Right across the street you have a very popular Thai restaurant, a fine wine store, a deli and a small, funky bar serving the best cocktails in Telluride. If you are looking for a little more action, the bars, restaurants and stores of Main Street are four short blocks away. Ski access is also close by - the gondola is three blocks away (five minutes) and Chair 7 is a three-minute walk.

 

You enter the Tavern via a charming south facing porch. Guests are welcomed into the great room, which has a warm, stylish living area on the right, and a dining table for eight guests on the left. The living area has three U-shaped sofas surrounding a gas fireplace and a flat screen TV. There is a DVD player, cable TV and a centralized sound system for the home. Beyond the living area there is a full gourmet kitchen and an additional dining area that can seat six guests. The top-of-the-line kitchen has granite countertops and stainless steel appliances by Thermador and Kitchen Aid. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, crockpot and wine fridge. At the rear of this main level is a study, which can close off as an extra sleeping area. It has a queen sleeper sofa and a flat screen TV. Right next door to the study is a bathroom with a shower. There are also exits to the west and north sides of the building from this rear hallway.

 

The master suite occupies the entire top floor of the home. The main area of the master suite features a king sized bed, a flat screen TV, a private balcony, a gas fireplace and extensive open closet space. There are two leather armchairs in the master suite for relaxation and an iPod dock/clock radio. The master bathroom features his and her sinks, a steam shower, a jetted tub and a separate toilet. The en suite also has a small private balcony.

 

The lower level of the home has three additional guest bedrooms, a second TV area and a laundry room. One of the guest suites has a trundle bed (two singles) and a private bathroom with a double-headed shower. The other two guest rooms – a king and a twin room (two singles) both share a bathroom that has two sinks and a combined tub/shower. All of these guest bedrooms are centered around a common living area that has an L shaped leather sofa, a large flat screen TV/DVD, a gas fireplace and a kitchenette. There is also a laundry room.
