Description

Quinta Das Oliveiras, Loule, Algarve, Portugal

Quinta das Oliveira is situated within a 14,000 msq plot of land on top of a hill with an air-conditioned living space of 400 msq. This stunning 4 bedroom property has wonderful panoramic views over the Algarve coast and Atlantic Ocean. The villa is situated just 20 minutes from Vilamoura golf course and Faro airport.

The entrance hall with tiled floors looks through to the living room with fireplace, this room is equipped with a wide screen TV, DVD and has double doors facing south which lead out onto the main terrace overlooking the swimming pool.

There is dining inside for 8 or meals may be taken out onto the terrace. There is a fully equipped kitchen and an outside stairway which provides access down to the cinema room and a separate games annex.

This villa is located near Santa Babara de Nexe which is delightfully situated in an elevated location and enjoys spectacular views towards Vilamoura in one direction and Tavira in the other. You are just a few minutes drive from Loule, a charming inland town which was once a Roman settlement and where the remains of a ruined castle can still be seen in the old quarter. An indoor market is held here 6 days a week, which is excellent for fish fruit and vegetables.

Zoomarine. Enjoy an entertaining day out at the fascinating Zoomarine Park. Discover the mysteries of the sea through a range of exhibitions and shows featuring dolphins, seals, sharks and other exotic marine life. See the spectacular Dolphin show, Peter Pan in "Never Never Land" performed with Seals and Sea Lions and experience the colour of the magical bird shows and visit the aquarium.

Horse Riding. There are many riding centres throughout the Algarve, many of which offer lessons for beginners so you don’t need to have done it before and there’s nothing nicer than getting out in the sun and the fresh air on horse back to explore some of the Algarve landscape!

Markets. People love to visit Algarve fairs and markets - one of the best known is the Saturday morning market in Loulé which has a huge selection of goods to tempt you - Algarve lace, baskets, shoes, bags, clothes, local craftwork, jewellery, household linens, pots and pans and just about anything else you can think of!

Sailing & Boat Trips. Portugal has had a long association with marine voyages and their discoveries in the past have helped to shape the world map. There are several Marinas along the Algarve coast. The biggest is at Vilamoura. Smaller ones are to be found at Lagos, Portimão, Albufeira and Faro.

Tennis. If this is your sport, you might like to try out an Algarve vacation at one of the region’s top-class tennis clubs and tennis centres. Yes, you can improve those strokes at the same lime as enjoying some of the loveliest settings in the Iberian Peninsula. Whatever your standard, you’ll find a club or facility (with a qualified coach if you wish) that’s just right for you.

Golf. Probably the most popular in any list of Algarve vacation activities. There are many and varied Algarve golf courses, for which the region is justly famous.

Pedal Kayaking. Perhaps a little more leisurely, but with the bonus that the whole family can enjoy the activity together, a kayak trip around the beautiful Ria Formosa nature reserve is a great day out. Learn about the flora and fauna (including marine life), enjoy the spectacular views and wildlife and get some fun exercise too.

Surfing. You can learn to surf at one of the many schools along the coast, but for experienced surfers, the west coast is the main attraction, as that’s where the big waves are found.

Water Parks. Parents will be relieved to note that there are shaded gardens in which to relax while the youngsters are at play. This is reputed to be Europe’s largest open-air water park and boasts more than I 500 meters in length of aquatic activity fun.

Beaches. Favourite beaches are very subjective - everyone has their own personal favourite. Some opt for secluded, cove beaches; others love wide broad expanses of golden sands. With so many to choose from – the choice is yours!
