Villa Padronale is a charming old villa who dates back 1500s. It is surrounded by a huge enchanting garden full of flowers, plants and century holm oaks. The Villa is located just below the Etruscan town of Cortona, and from here you can enjoy a wonderful view of it and surrounding hills. Particularly interesting is the town centre which, except for a number of renaissance buildings, still retains a medieval charm.

 

The Villa consist of only two big apartments located within an estate extending over four and a half hectares of land, charmingly immersed in a country-side setting. The owner lives within the same estate.  They has been for years renowned as antique dealers in the Cortona area.  Their great taste for antique pieces found its way into the apartments’ furnishing. They are located in the part of the Villa dating to the 1800s. Stone walls, roofs covered with old cotto tiles, exposed wood beams, old pieces of furniture manufactured like they used to in the old days, charming antique pieces which expert craftsmen hands once polished all contribute to creating a unique, warm and cosy atmosphere. Each apartment has a private garden where guests will be able to dine under a grove of secular holm-oaks and a wood oven and adjacent equipped kitchen.

 

One part of the Villa is composed of a very big apartment on the first floor who has two independent entrances allowing guests to enjoy improved privacy: four double bedrooms, large kitchen, a large living room with open fireplace, three bathrooms, 1 extra bed and a little kitchen for breakfast.

Just beside it, the other apartment fully independent but part of the same building, consists of two double bedrooms + 1 extra bed, a kitchen, one bathroom and a living room.

 

The most impressive thing about this property is the marvellous park that surrounds the property. As you drive into the property you will have the amazing feeling of being in special place. The pool is very big and has a wonderful view of Cortona. Guest can also enjoy a working stone oven and barbeque and just attached to them, a fully equipped kitchen to prepare outdoor meals.

 

This villa is ideal for a family group, is close to Cortona and in walking distance to a village where to buy goods and everything else they need.
