The Loft is centrally located with easy taxi access, parking and nearby local transportation a few steps away:
The loft is situated in the heart of Paris in a calm, pedestrianized areas full of its own cafés, restaurants, designer boutiques It is near to many popular centers of interest such as the Louvre Museum, the George Pompidou Centre and the Marais. As well as being a very fashionable district, the Quartier Montorgueil is also famous for its incredible sources of fresh produce: sea-food, cheeses, pastries, fruit and vegetables and wines, which all my guests appreciate enormously.
The Loft has direct parking access via a 24 hour parking service located next door with a pedestrian exit situated across the street from the Loft and easy pick up and drop off access for taxis or car service (should you require it, I can arrange for a car service to collect you from your gate at arrival and return you to the airport if you are arriving by plane.) The Loft can be accessed by 3 different metro stations and metro lines, each only a few minutes’ walk away. In less than 10 minutes door to door, you can be at the Champs Elysee or St; Germain des Près.
Bedrooms: The Master Bedroom with en suite bathroom (sunken bath and rain shower) is situated on the first floor and has French windows with access to the furnished terrace. The first Guest Bedroom is on the ground floor with large shower room opposite; the second Guest Bedroom is on the first floor next to the Master Bathroom with Powder Room opposite. A third Guest Bedroom can be made up in the gym and relaxation room - it includes its own hydro-jet massage shower-room and sauna and also has flat screen TV and home-cinema and hi-fi.
Living Room: The entrance of the Loft, with its own architectural glass and stainless steel doors, opens out onto the unexpected and dramatic Loft living space. At the end of the large open room, a 20 foot cathedral window is framed by a tall asian ficus tree whose trailing aerial roots are visible beneath the Loft's floating passageways and Gustav Eiffel wrought-iron girders. The passageways, reached by a central staircase, lead to a cosy second cocktail lounge with stocked cocktail cabinet and flat screen TV with Premium Cable and dvd player. The main living area comprises a lounge with Pascale Mourgue leather sofas and coffee table; a giant screen with home cinema and sound system; an exotic wood platform hosts a dining area and fully fitted open kitchen with american stainless steel fridge and hob and a breakfast bar. A glass floor reveals the Roger Talon exotic wood and stainless steel spiral staircase leading to the gym and relaxation room.
Gym and Relaxation Room: The gym and relaxation room was a hidden room only discovered during the renovation of the building in 2000. Used by the French Resistance, this room originally had tunnels serving as escape routes that still remain today under the living room floor. Conserving the original Paris stone wall, the gym has been designed as a zen area of well-being and includes: sauna; hydro-jet massage shower; mutli-gym; elyptical trainer; yoga mats; free weights and for relaxing, sofa bed with flat screen TV and home cinema and sound system.
Grounds Description: The Loft has its own terrace equipped with bistro tables and chairs, dressed with bamboo and ivy, looking out over a private courtyard. Perfect for breakfast on a sunny day or early evening cocktails.
Housekeeping: Owner Provides weekly cleaning (this can be twice weekly if you think appropriate - let's discuss). Additional housekeeping can be arranged - incuding daily cleaning - on request either in packages or by the hour (Hourly rate is €20 all inclusive.)
Entertainment: There are 3 audio-visual areas in the loft: Main Lounge: 10 foot screen with Bose surround sound home-cinema system including: Premium Cable; DVD; Video; CD; Radio and i-pod dock. Mezzanine Lounge: Flat screen TV with Premium Cable and DVD player. Gym and Relaxation room: Flat screen TV with home-cinema system including DVD/CD/Radio and i-pod. Guests should bring: I-pods to listen to their favorite music via the Loft surround sound speakers, camera for souvenirs, swim-suit - to chill out and take advantage of the local spas in the Montorgueil area. These include the new, deluxe gym and spa (www.kenclub.com) just around the corner - day passes or treatments are available à la carte. Other great spas in the neighborhood include Nuxe (www.nuxe.com/spa-nuxe/spa-nuxe-32-montorgueil-spa-1.html) and the Ban Thai Spa, a big appetite - Montorgueil hosts some of Paris's finest restaurants and home cooking - as well as renowned chocolate and patisserie stores, a large bag or extra suitcase to take home shopping! Montorgueil hosts some of the hippest fashion shopping in Paris as well as some of the best local gourmet foods and wine!
Recycling: The Loft recycles! There are large yellow topped bins in the courtyard for paper, plastic, metal and card-board - special bins for glass bottles and green topped bins for food waste! Tap water in Paris is healthy and comes from fresh water sources outside of the city - so mineral water is not really necessary. The loft gym also has its own purified water fountain.
